PPTUS

Abbreviation for Pan-Pacific Trade Union Secretariat, an international Communist organization established in China in May 1927. The PPTUS was the Asian/Pacific branch of the Red International of Trade Unions (commonly known as the Profintern), which coordinated Communist activities within the labor movement. It was headquartered in Shanghai, China and published “The Pan-Pacific Worker” as its official organ.
