Weinberg, Fedor Semenovich (1903-1972)
Soviet diplomat. Beginning in 1932, Weinberg held a series of positions at the Commissariat of Foreign Affairs (NKID). He was acting head of its Second Western Department for two years, then an assistant to the head of the Third Western Department from 1934 to 1938, and then head of the same department from March to December 1938. Soon after this, Weinberg was purged but was later rehabilitated. 1
